RIMMEL KATE MOSS 107 #30LipsIn30

It's time. I couldn't go any longer without talking about the infamous Rimmel 107 lipstick from the Kate Moss collection. This is one of my favourite and most used deeper lip colours and definitely deserves a spotlight post in my #30LipsIn30 feature.

This lipstick was made known to me by Zoella a couple of years ago and was among the first Youtuber-inspired purchases for me (they have been many many more since). It's a gorgeous deep wine red which seems to look great on everyone. The formula is matte but not drying and is a must have at only £5.49. If you've managed to avoid picking this up until now, go and get it!

Even though I've tried 3 or 4 of the matte Kate Moss lipsticks, I've never tried the ones in the black packaging. Are they any good?

SOAP & GLORY BLUSH PINK #30LipsIn30

I sort of have a love/hate relationship with Soap & Glory. Well, maybe more of a love/don't love relationship - hate is a bit strong. I usually love the product, but don't love the price tag. When it comes to drugstore make-up, Soap & Glory is definitely up there in terms of price. That being said, they do have some awesome stuff.

This matte lipstick in Blush Pink is really one of the most comfortable and beautiful matte lipsticks I have ever used. I love the extra detail of the S&G imprint and the divine vanilla scent - it's like MAC on steroids (in terms of smell). The pigmentation is there at first swipe, and it's so soft for a matte lipstick which I love. The lipstick is somewhat pricey at £9, but compares to my high end lipsticks. There's only three shades in the matte formula, but I'm dying to try another. This really is one of my all time favourite lipstick formulas!

Which make-up products from Soap & Glory do you love? Do you think they're worth the higher price tag?

NARS VELVET MATTE LIP PENCIL IN NEVER SAY NEVER #30LipsIn30

Today's #30LipsIn30 post is focused on the NARS Matte Lip Pencil in Never Say Never. This is a great berry colour for fall and I'm definitely embracing the lip pencils as of late (see here). I love the ease of only having to apply a pencil and this one goes on easy, and leaves a comfortable matte finish.

The formula is pigmented so you can easily build up the colour in seconds. Never Say Never is a berry-purple mix (NARS describes it as a lilac-rose) which is bright but not too bright. It has a very lightweight formula so you barely feel it on the lips, and it doesn't dry them out either. I love it. I'm going to be getting so much use out of this in the coming colder months (my favourite time of year!). I've already sharpened it and found that it didn't really waste any product - such a bonus.

This has definitely left me wanting to try the satin lip pencils from NARS. Have you tried either? What did you think?

IN THE MAIL #2 - A SUPERDRUG ORDER

When it comes to ordering drugstore brands online, the Superdrug website is one of my favourites. You only need to spend £10 for free delivery and their points system is pretty awesome as every time you save up 100 points (which happens in no time in my case) you can take £1 off your total. And if that's not enough, they have a bunch of budget brands which you can't really get anywhere else as well as all the usual favourites.

I made a little order recently inspired by this post. As I mentioned, the Rimmel Moisure Renew lipsticks are some of my favourites from the drugstore but I hadn't tried any other nudes as I could only ever find Nude Delight in store. So, I took to the Superdrug website and purchased the only other nude they had in stock which was Notting Hill Nude. Since it was part of a buy one, get one for half price Rimmel offer, I had a look through the brand and finally settled on picking up the new-ish Kate Moss Shadow Stick in Rose Gold which is actually more of an amber than rose gold. I've been sort of the embracing these kinds of shades recently which is unlike me - expect a post soon.

Finally, to make up my £10 for free delivery, I thought I'd try the MakeUp Revolution Focus & Fix Eye Primer. An eyeshadow primer is a critical step in my make-up routine due to my very oily eyelids and I've been wanting to try this budget option for a while to see if it could rival its much more expensive NARS counterpart which I rely on. I chose to get the matte version as I thought this would suit me best - I'll update you with my thoughts.

And that's another In The Mail post done and dusted but expect another soon. Hope you enjoyed this, let me know if you've bought any new drugstore makeup recently!

TANYA BURR LIP GLOSSES #30LipsIn30

It's been a while since Tanya Burr released her lip gloss and nail polish range, but today I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on the four glosses I own in today's #30LipsIn30 post. In the whole range. there are twelve glosses ranging in colour, pigmentation and finish. They all have a strong scent which reminds me of my childhood; picking up bags of penny sweets from the corner shop. It's probably personal preference as to whether you'll like the scent but I like it. The packaging is very simple and safe. Each gloss has a doe foot applicator but mine seem to differ in size as you can see in the picture below. I'm not sure if this is because I bought them from different places or if it ranges colour to colour - I think I prefer the bigger applicator but both are fine and easy to use.

The four glosses I own are all fairly different so I have different things to say about them. I'll take you through one by one.

Smile, Dream, Sparkle is the most sheer of the four and adds a nice bit of shine and sparkle over lipsticks but isn't one I reach for too often. There's not enough pigmentation to really wear it alone (unless you're going for a very natural look) and I have other glosses I prefer to use over this one so kind of a miss for me.

Afternoon Tea was the first lip gloss I purchased from the line, and this one is much more opaque. It is a peachy-pink gloss which applies nicely on the lips and can be worn alone or on its own.

Picnic in the Park is the gloss Tanya seems to mention the most often and is a hard one to find in stock in Superdrug - I found so anyway. It's similar in texture and finish to Afternoon Tea but is a brighter pink. Although I can't really complain about the quality of the gloss, I just don't reach for this one as much as I thought I would.

Exotic Island is a purple which pigmentation-wise is somewhere inbetween the other three. It applies quite streaky at first so you have to build it up and then it fades quite quickly by itself. Because of the streaky application it's one I'd opt to wear over a lipstick. I love the shade and I don't have any others like it in my collection.

I definitely initially bought these glosses because I'm a fan of Tanya Burr, her YouTube channel and just generally think she's a lovely person but I'm kind of torn on how much I like the glosses. There isn't too much cohesion between the four I have and it kind of depends which gloss you get which puts me off trying more. I'm still excited to see what Tanya is going to release next though... I'm sure I'll be trying whatever it is!

Have you tried any of Tanya's glosses? What did you think?
